As Dean of the School of Business Administration at Al Akhawayn University, Dr. El Garah personally oversees the largest cohort of business leaders in Morocco. As the highest-ranking women at the Arab-American AUI University, Dr. El Garah is a unique blend of American business and Moroccan academics. Dr. El Garah earned her PhD. in Management Information Systems from the University of Central Florida and her MBA in Marketing from the University of North Texas. Growing up in Rabat, Dr. El Garah earned her BAC+4 ISCAE in Rabat so she brings both a Moroccan and American perspective.
In the American business world, Dr. El Garah was a hands-on leader of various project teams in Minnesota and Texas integrating IT capabilities into new product development and services marketing, leading the field in the 1990’s. Currently, she is a member of the European Foundation Management Development and EABIS, a unique alliance of 100 companies, business schools such as Yale and academic institutions supported by the European Commission to address strategic leadership questions like: Can Virtues be Taught and Included in Global Strategies? Can Managers Learn to be Wise When Implementing Global Strategies?
Dr. El Garah’s passion for leadership, marketing and technology extends beyond her technical skills to a strong sense of responsibility to shape future leaders ethically and globally. Dr. El Garah’s practical wisdom in the classroom will enhance every student’s abilities to lead, to manage and to market.
